Nampa Kiwanis Sponsor DAR Kids Choir

NAMPA KIWANIS CLUB HELPS KEEP KIDS OFF DRUGS

(Nampa, ID) The Nampa Kiwanis Club Board of Directors also approved the formation and funding of the Nampa Community RAD Choir. (RAD stands for RACE AGAINST DRUGS.  This community based choir will be directed by Bette Dale Moorewho is known for her past school RAD Choir Program in Nampa. 

This new dramatic community show choir will perform high energy music with choreography.  The content of the music performed will be focused on making positive life choices. 

The choir sponsored by the Nampa Kiwanis Club will be for up to 200, 5th and 6th grade age students. All
Nampa area young people age 10 to 12 will be eligible to audition for the choir.  Singers will be selected on basic music ability and willingness to make a serious commitment to the group. 

Membership for the choir is free thanks to the Nampa Kiwanis Club.  The RAD Choir will perform at a variety of special events including the Nampa Chamber of Commerce Service Club Luncheon, the Kiwanis Steak Fry, local elementary school programs and at a main stage performance at the
CivicCenter on May 15, 2003. Auditions will be held Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 10:30 AM at the NampaCivicCenter.
