NAMPA KIWANIS STEAK FRY KICKS OFF FESTIVAL
One of Nampa’s longest traditions continues this year with the Nampa Kiwanis Steak Fry on Thursday, July 13, 2006 from 5P-8P in Nampa’s Lakeview Park. Adults will enjoy a sizzlin’ mouth waterin’ BBQ cooked steak dinner for only $12 which includes baked potato, salad and dessert! Kids enjoy a sirloin burger meal for only $6. Free entertainment will be provided throughout the event featuring Rachel & Jeremy Johnson, Encore’s Cotton Patch Gospel and the Jefferies Express. Proceeds from this event are contributed to benefit the youth of the community. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Nampa Civic Center (311 3rd Street), Nampa Chamber of Commerce (312 13th Ave. S) or from your favorite member of the Nampa Kiwanis Club. Tickets will be available at the event.
The Nampa Kiwanis Club was chosen as the Nampa Service Club of the year in 2005. It is Nampa’s largest weekly service club with over 100 members. The organization meets weekly at Noon on Thursdays, downtown Nampa at the Hong Kong Restaurant. The Nampa Kiwanis Club is proud to support the children and youth of the community including being major supporters of “The Nampa Boys and Girls Club,” “Nampa Civic Center Community Fun Night,” “Nampa Salvation Army,” “Syringa House,” “Gimmie 5 Immunization Coalition,” “Nampa RAD Choir” and many other worthwhile organizations.
